Five-year-old Indian girl, Roona Begum who was born with a rare condition, hydrocephalus that makes cerebrospinal fluid to store in her brain which caused it to grow 3 times bigger its normal size and not sit upright died on Sunday, 18 June, 2017, just few days away from another round of surgeries to return her head to the normal size. She was all over headlines after she was born in 2013.
Her mum said she(Roona) developed breathing issues and was rushed to hospital, but died on the way.
From 2013 till date, a total of eight surgeries have been carried out on her which made her head to reduce from 94 centimetres to 58 centimetres.
After all the surgeries she was still not able to walk, eat without being assisted, or even talk, but her parents were still hoping that she will still attend school and live a normal life like her mates. See her last photo below.
