Gov. Ambode Hears Cries Of Agony, Suspends NURTW Activities In Oshodi Over Murder Of Hamburger


The Lagos state government on Monday announced the suspension of all union activities of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi area of the state.

The government looks to have taken the decision after crisis broke out in Oshodi last week, following the murder of a prominent member of the NURTW and politician, Rasaq Bello better known as Hamburger.
According to reports, there would be no collection of tickets/fees from any commercial buses while the indefinite suspension lasts, security personnels have been asked to monitor the area to ensure total compliance to the directives.
The suspension is reported to remain until total peace returns back to Oshodi.
