Arsenal v Chelsea - Premier League

Another weekend, Another story in this feisty Premier League season Cliqloadites!!

The English Premier League this season is writing its own scripts with gusto as practically every weekend, we are graced with a new story; with basically six teams now in contention to win the title.

It wasn’t long ago in week 6 of the Premier League when Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal tactically destroyed Chelsea 3-0 at the Emirates, with many ruling Antonio Conte’s Blue disciples out of the title race.

Well, Fast forward to week 11, and Chelsea are currently 2nd on the EPL log, a point above the Gunners.

Manchester City, who started the season in a glazing fashion, winning their first 5 games on the throt are currently rooted in 3rd.

Yet just five points separates first position from fifth.

With many teams showing huge interest in the title this season, including Tottenham, and yes Manchester United, here are Five Reasons Why Arsenal Are The Team To Win The Premier League Trophy This Season.

1- Arsenal Have The Most Balanced Team In The League-

Over the years, Wenger’s sides have fallen short on league glory due to the Frenchman’s stubbornness to strengthen his squad in vital positions, especially defensively.

Well apparently he’s having no issue with that this season, with mouth-watering signings in Granit Xhaka and Shodrak Mustafi among others being the missing piece in the jigsaw.

2- Wenger Is Tactically Flexible This Season-

In the past, Arsenal have resorted to a mundane and orthodox tactical plan of a tall target man in attack and flinging in crosses from the wings.
In a strange twist of fate, Arsene Wenger has snubbed that method to a more modern plan, with a 5 ft 7 Alexis Sanchez leading the line for the team, playing as a false 9, and its no surprise the Chilean has thrived excellently in the role, scoring 8 goals in 14 appearances.

3- Arsenal’s Key Men Are In Fine Form This Season-

You’re an automatic favorites for the Premier League title if your star players are fit and performing, champions Leicester City proved that last season, and that is ostensibly music to Wenger’s ears.
Defensively, Laurent Kosicelny and new signing Shodrak Mustafi have formed a telepathic bond.
In midfield, the worldclass duo in Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla are working in tandem to create openings for the strikers, and with Alexis Sanchez repaying with goals, the manager must be delighted his star players are turning up this season.

4- Arsene Wenger Has Learnt From His Past Mistakes-

With the recurring predicament of key signings addressed, and his more tactical suave approach this season, it is apparent the 67- year old Wenger has learnt from his mistakes from the past seasons.

5- Wenger Has More Freedom To Spend-

Unlike in the past seasons when Arsenal had a tight budget during transfer periods, due to balancing the cheque book after the switch from the Highbury stadium to the Emirates stadium, Arsene Wenger now has more freedom to spend how he wants, and the summer transfer window illustrated that, with the Frenchman forking out a whooping £92,900,000 on Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano, Rob Holding, Lucas Pérez and Shkodran Mustafi.

These signings have made Arsenal a more fearful outfit unlike the past seasons, and we are expecting a similar overhaul in the January transfer window if needed.

With just two points away from top spot so far, Arsenal are the likely team to win the Premier League this season.
